High-Level Status
- Medical: Enabled by Ley 1787 de 2016 and subsequent decrees/resolutions. Licensing governs cultivation, manufacture, distribution, and export within defined channels.
- Hemp: ≤1% THC threshold for cáñamo per Decreto 811 de 2021; licensing and quotas apply.
- Adult-use: Illegal. Criminal law and police code provisions apply to trafficking and other conduct. Jurisprudence addresses personal possession contexts; enforcement can vary.
